Mithila Palkar, Abhay Deol to star in Chopsticks

Actress Mithila Palkar was appreciated in Akarsh Khurana’s acclaimed Karwaan last year, which also featured Irrfan Khan and Dulquer Salmaan. She was seen in the second season of her web-series Little Things that streamed soon after Karwaan.

The news is now out about Palkar’s next movie, titled Chopsticks, where she is cast opposite Abhay Deol. It is directed by Sachin Yardi and it also stars Vijay Raaz and Benafsha Soonawalla. The film will be streamed on Netflix from 30 May.

Palkar is working on another project as well. Earlier this month, during a chat with us, she had said, “Everybody is asking me this and I am dying to talk about two very, very important projects that are happening this year, but I am not allowed to.”

This is Yardi’s third film as a director after C Kkompany (2008) and Kyaa Super Kool Hain Hum (2012). He was also the writer on these two films, Kyaa Kool Hai Hum (2005) and Traffic Signal (2007).

Deol was last seen in the Shah Rukh Khan-starrer Zero (2018). His last film as the lead was Nanu Ki Jaanu (2018).
