Director Meghna Gulzar is halfway through her next production, Chhapaak, starring Deepika Padukone and Vikrant Massey.
The filmmaker tweeted that the Delhi schedule had been completed and posted a picture of herself with her cast and crew. Padukone is in character (and prosthetics) as Malti, an acid attack survivor.

Chhapaak, written by Atika Chohan and Meghna, put a voice to the many acid attack survivors in India and is inspired by the real-life story of activist and survivor, Laxmi Agarwal.
Produced by Fox Star Studios, Padukone and Meghna, the film will go up against the films — Taanaji: The Unsung Warrior and Darbar — when it releases on 10 January 2020.
