Box office: Andhadhun looks good to overtake Bajrangi Bhaijaan in China

Andhadhun (2018), starring Ayushmann Khurrana and Tabu, has enjoyed a good run in China so far. After 12 days, the dark comedy, directed by Sriram Raghavan, has grossed $30.09 million (Rs208 crore approximately at the current exchange rate), as reported by Chinese trade portal entgroup.cn.
Andhadhun is currently being screened on over 50,000 screens in China. It will easily beat Hindi Medium (2017), which grossed $32.71 million in China and looks good to surpass Salman Khan’s Bajrangi Bhaijaan (2015), which grossed $45.55 million. Both Hindi Medium and Bajrangi Bhaijaan had been released in China in 2018.
Andhadhun currently occupies the second spot at the China box office. Local film P Storm (2019), which was released a day after Andhadhun, made a staggering $89.31 million (Rs618 crore approximately).
Made at an estimated budget of Rs32 crore, Andhadhun was released in India on 1,200 screens and went on to make Rs73.37 crore nett in India business.
