After donating to Kerala, Sushant Singh Rajput donates Rs1.25 crore for Nagaland

The Raabta (2017) actor went all the way to the state to hand over his contribution to chief minister Niephiu Rio.

Actor Sushant Singh Rajput showed the benevolent side of him when he donated Rs1 crore for the flood-ravaged state of Kerala. Now, the state of Nagaland is suffering from a similar situation. The north-eastern state has seen over 12 deaths and 50,000 others have been displaced. Apart from the the rising water levels, the state has also been affected by landslides. 

Rajput rushed to the state to offer his help. The MS Dhoni: The Untold Story (2016) actor met chief minister Niephiu Rio and offered a cheque of Rs1 crore for the relief fund. 

The chief minister took to Twitter to thank the actor for his contribution. 

“I thank Sushant Singh Rajput @itsSSR for standing with #Nagaland. He personally handed over a cheque of Rs1.25 crore towards CM Relief Fund. I am grateful to him and everyone who has come in support of our state,” Rio wrote. 

Last seen in Dinesh Vijan’s Raabta (2017), Rajput has recently shot for Abhishek Chaubey’s Sonchiriya. The film will be released on 8 February 2019.
