Deepika Padukone, Alia Bhatt to be first guests on Koffee With Karan season 6

With the sixth season of Karan Johar’s chat show Koffee With Karan around the corner, audiences are curious to know who will be the first guests of the season.

Filmmaker Karan Johar, the host of the show, has revealed that actresses Deepika Padukone and Alia Bhatt will share the couch on the first episode of the new season. The episode will be aired on 21 October.

Johar shared the news on his Twitter handle. “The first cup of koffee is all about #girlpower !! Welcome @deepikapadukone and @aliaa08 on episode 1 season 6 of #koffeewithkaran on @StarWorldIndia @hotstartweets,” he wrote. 

Padukone and Bhatt haven’t starred together in any film so far. So, this will be the first time that the actresses will be sharing any screen together. Both have collaborated with Johar under his banner Dharma Productions though. Bhatt started her career with Student Of The Year (2012), which was also directed by Johar. Padukone, on the other hand, acted in Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani (2013). 

They have also participated on the talk show previously. Padukone created a stir on the third season of Koffee With Karan when she appeared with Sonam Kapoor. The two actresses took a dig at actor Ranbir Kapoor, which didn’t go down well with the his father Rishi Kapoor. 

Bhatt first appeared on the show in 2012 with her Student Of The Year co-stars Varun Dhawan and Sidharth Malhotra. Her inability to answer simple civic questions in the rapid-fire round made her the butt of quite a few jokes on social media.
