Anurag Kashyap mocks Twitter over tweet with phone number of Eros International chairman

Filmmaker Anurag Kashyap has got into a duel with Twitter again. Kashyap was upset after the microblogging website asked him to delete a tweet that included the mobile phone number of Eros International chairman Kishore Lulla, whose company has distributed the recently released Manmarziyaan.
The tweet with the number is unavailable, but Kashyap posted a tweet with a screenshot of his communication with Twitter.
One cannot see who from Twitter supposedly sent a direct message to Kashyap, but the content of it made the website's position clear.
“I wanted to see if you would consider taking down Kishore Lulla's number. It is against our terms of service to upload personal information, so the support team may have to delete the Tweet [sic],” Twitter sent its message to Kashyap.
The Twitter official further requested Kashyap himself to delete the tweet and repost it without mentioning Kishore Lulla’s number.
Not one to bow down, Kashyap asked the Twitter support team to blur Lulla’s number from his earlier tweet. Left with no option, Twitter had to delete the particular tweet.
Kashyap didn’t take kindly to Twitter’s action which he felt was no way to solve the real problem.
“Before my tweet is taken down - Congratulations. Hereby all problems of Punjab are solved and Sikh youth have been saved. Happy to be back in LaLa land again. Next time you are threatened by a film please call Kishore Lulla directly on Eros knows how to solve matters in minutes,” tweeted Kashyap.

Earlier this week, Ambala-based Sikh group Sikh Sangat had threatened to disrupt screenings of Manmarziyaan in the state after it objected to Abhishek Bachchan and Taapsee Pannu’s characters smoking cigarettes outside a gurdwara. Kashyap had yesterday tweeted a long note addressing the reservations of the Sikh group.
Twitter has a strict policy for content that users put online. Singer Abhijeet Bhattacharya’s Twitter account was suspended after it found the singer to be using inappropriate and insulting language.
