The song has a very retro feel to it despite the underlying complexity of Sriram Raghavan's plot.
Andhadhun 'Naina Da Kya Kasoor' song: Amit Trivedi returns with joy, flourish in this uncomplicated number

Sriram Raghavan's Andhadhun might be a thriller with a killer in its plot, but the music is taking a surprising turn. The latest song from the film, 'Naina Da Kya Kasoor', is a delightful, light number that lifts your spirits. Sung and composed by Amit Trivedi, it proves to be a lovely song to sing along.
The song is set to the background of the budding romance between Ayushmann Khurrana's blind (or seemingly blind) piano player and his neighbour, played by Radhika Apte. As the romance blossoms, the piano player turns to music to express his joy. The performance also marks the first interaction between the mysterious woman in black, played by Tabu. It is this meet that marks the first meeting of the trio of Anil Dhawan, Tabu and Khurrana.
Despite the underlying mystery, the song itself is a joyous, peppy number. With a very retro feel to it, the song nicely balances the elegant beats to the lilting piano keys that keep it in tune. An intermingling of the acoustic guitar and the piano in the interlude of the song makes for pleasant hearing from the steady percussion. The rhythm also flows through Jaideep Sahni's lyrics that are fun, simple, and easy to sing along.
For once, Trivedi's music manages to subdue the ominous notes of Raghavan's film.
Andhadhun is set to be released on 5 October.
