Filmmaker Anurag Kashyap's love story Manmarziyaan is titled Husband Material at the Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF). The film had its world premiere on 11 September at the Roy Thompson Hall.

The cast seemed to be really excited to present its film in front of a new audience as evidenced by its social media posts once they landed in Toronto.

Abhishek Bachchan even joked about the film's English title, saying "You think it's a good time to tell them I'm already married???"

The director and his cast looked elegant as they suited up before the premiere. Bachchan and Kaushal wore tuxedos while Kashyap wore a bandhgala. Pannu kept it simple with a white skirt and an intricately stitched black-and-white top.

On stage, the actress revealed that she was a bit nervous before the premiere as she was attending her first film festival.

The international audience shared its reactions after the film's screening. One critic called it a "Bollywood Jules et Jim", referring to the Hindi film industry popular moniker and the 1962 romance by François Truffaut.

Manmarziyaan is due to be released in India on 14 September.
