Nana Patekar will speak only when his lawyer allows

Actor Nana Patekar was supposed to address a press conference today, but he cancelled it at the last moment. His son Malhar Patekar sent a statement to the media informing about its cancellation. But no specific reason was mentioned.
Despite this, a group of journalists turned up at the premises of Patekar’s house in the Lokhandwala area in Mumbai and requested him to speak up. Nana did turn up, but he refused to give any statement. He said that he would speak only when his lawyer asks him to.
The reporters gathered had to leave. The veteran actor didn’t disclose any date on which he would be speaking regarding the controversy where actress Tanushree Dutta has levelled serious sexual harrasment allegations against him. The actress has accused him of sexual misconduct during the shoot of the film Horn Ok Pleassss in 2008.
Meanwhile, producer of the film, Samee Siddiqui, has submitted an application before the Oshiwara police station stating that the matter has already been investigated by the Goregaon police. While speaking to the news agency ANI, he added, “No molestation occurred & this is a publicity stunt.”
