Box office: Andhadhun earns Rs14.35 crore, Loveyatri makes Rs6.75 crore in first weekend

After a dull opening, the performance of Sriram Raghavan’s Andhadhun improved over the weekend at the box office. It earned Rs5 crore nett on Saturday (6 October) and Rs7 crore nett on Sunday (7 October).
The film, starring Ayushmann Khurrana, Radhika Apte, Tabu and Anil Dhawan, has made a total of Rs14.35 crore nett in its opening weekend, as reported by Boxofficeindia.com. Made at an estimated budget of Rs25 crore, Andhadhun released in 800 screens across India. The film has largely recieved positive reviews, and it is expected that positive word-of-mouth will help it's earnings grow over the week.
Salman Khan-produced Loveyatri, starring his brother-in-law Aayush Sharma and Warina Hussain, is staring down the barrel. The romantic-drama could only make Rs6.75 crore nett in the opening weekend.
The film opened poorly with Rs1.90 crore nett (adjusted) on Friday (5 October) and its performance only marginally improved over the weekend, earning Rs2.10 crore nett on Saturday and Rs2.75 crore nett on Sunday. This film, too, is reportedly made at an estimated budget of Rs25 crore and released in 800 screens across India.

Meanwhile, the earnings of Sharat Katariya's Sui Dhaaga: Made In India dropped in its second weekend at the domestic box office with Rs9 crore nett, as opposed to the Rs36 crore nett it made in its first weekend.
Sui Dhaaga has so far made Rs71 crore nett in India. The film had released across 2,500 screens in India and was made at an estimated budget of Rs50 crore.
