After acting in a number of plays and television serials, veteran actor Atul Srivastava has recently become known in the role of a father in well-known films like Bajrangi Bhaijaan (2015), Toilet: Ek Prem Katha (2017), Stree (2018) and Batti Gul Meter Chalu (2018).

His next, Yahan Sab Gyani Hain, will see him essay the central character. During a conversation with Cinestaan.com, Srivastava said the film is on the same lines as two highly acclaimed films. “You must have seen Ankhon Dekhi (2014) and Khosla Ka Ghosla! (2006). So, my film Yahan Sab Gyani Hai has a flavour of both these films. It is my film completely. I am the only main character in it,” he said.

Expressing his happiness at the final product, Srivastava added, “You won’t realize when the film starts and ends. It is enjoyable. It also has good actors like Neeraj Sood, Vineet Kumar Singh, Meena Nathani and Apoorva Arora.”

Asked about the subject, he said, “It is a satire. There is a section of people in every state who despite being educated don’t apply their minds and sell off their lands. There are people who once had land as big as Malad [in northwest Mumbai] but they sold it and are now left with no liquid money.”

Srivastava added that the makers are trying for a November release, though nothing is final yet. The film has been directed by first-timer Anant Tripathi.
