Arjun Reddy remake starring Shahid Kapoor now titled Kabir Singh

Shahid Kapoor's next, a remake of 2017 hit Telugu film Arjun Reddy, will be called Kabir Singh. The title follows the same pattern as the original and is the name of Kapoor's lead character.
The actor started shooting for the film on 21 October, and will be seen playing the doctor caught in a downward spiral of violence and self-destruction in the film, directed by Sandeep Vanga.

Produced by Bhushan Kumar, Murad Khetani and Ashwin Varde, Kabir Singh will be set in Mumbai and Delhi. The original was set in the cities of Bangalore and Hyderabad.
Mumbai Mirror, a tabloid, quoted a source close to the film as saying, "Shahid, who is known for getting under the skin of a character, has been prepping since the last two months, having grown his hair and beard. He will be in this look for a while now."
Kapoor will be featured alongside actress Kiara Advani in the film. Advani was recently part of a single, 'Urvashi Urvashi', where she performed alongside Kapoor. The actress will begin shooting for the film in November.
