The second season of Netflix's hit original series Sacred Games is moving ahead. The creative team of Vikramaditya Motwane, Anurag Kashyap, and Varun Grover will continue working on the upcoming season, starring Saif Ali Khan and Nawazuddin Siddiqui.
One of the founding partners of the production house, Phantom Films, Vikas Bahl and lead writer Grover were both accused of sexual harassment. Netflix conducted an independent investigation into the allegations.
Phantom Films was dissolved in the wake of the allegations and both Bahl and Grover have denied the accusations. The second season of Sacred Games was announced in September
In a statement given to Reuters, Netflix said, “After an independent investigation, the results helped inform Netflix’s decision to continue with Vikramaditya Motwane and Anurag Kashyap on season 2 of Sacred Games. We continue to collaborate with our production partners to ensure and maintain a safe and respectful working environment.”
No other details of the investigation were revealed. Bahl was not a producer on the first season of Sacred Games. Motwane was the showrunner and also co-directed the eight-episode series with Kashyap. Both men co-founded Phantom Films with Bahl.
