After Nana Patekar, Alok Nath and Rajat Kapoor, another well-known actor has been called out in the snowballing #MeToo movement.

Piyush Mishra, best known for his roles in films like Maqbool (2004) and Gangs Of Wasseypur I and II (2012) has been accused of indecent conduct. The actor has now offered his apology after first denying the incident.

Ketki Joshi, a former journalist, has put out a post on Facebook narrating her experience when Mishra allegedly harassed her at a private party in 2014.

Joshi was attending the party thrown by a friend. Mishra was invited as the main guest. Joshi caught the actor's attention, who then had a brief conversation with her.

"He saw me standing in a corner on the terrace, listening to him, and asked my name and what I did," Joshi wrote. "Then he asked me to come and sit next to him. I did, it was my fan moment. I praised him for his work and said I was a fan. He then started light flirting in front of 20-25 people. Sang a song looking right into my eyes. Everything was pleasant till then. I took it as harmless flirting. He was drinking all through the party and was too drunk by the time of wrap-up.”

Joshi was accompanied by a friend and was waiting for him so that they could leave together. As she passed by the actor, Mishra allegedly grabbed her hand.

"He was sitting in a chair and as soon as I passed near him, he grabbed my hand and started rubbing his hands against mine," she wrote. "I pleaded to the host with my eyes to do something. She understood and said, 'Ketki, come and help me bring the things from the terrace.' I quickly took away my hand and went to the terrace to bring things to the kitchen.”

But the ordeal didn't end there. Joshi claimed that Mishra again grabbed her hand. “He was sitting between the kitchen and the terrace of the penthouse," she recalled. "As I was making another round to the terrace, he again grabbed my hand and started rubbing it. I stood there waiting for someone to come and take him to his car. He suddenly stood up and took a step towards me. I sensed he was coming to hug me or grope me. I told him in an authoritative raised voice, 'Aap please baith jaaiye.' The others heard it and quickly came there and took me away.”

When contacted, Piyush Mishra claimed ignorance of any such incident. “I have never heard of any Ketki Joshi," the actor told Cinestaan.com. "I have been invited as a guest at many parties, I don’t recollect any such incident. Who doesn’t get drunk at a party? But I don't recollect the particular case you are talking about.”

The Happy Phirr Bhag Jayegi (2018) actor claimed that he has not read any such post either. We sent him the link of Joshi’s post but the actor said he could not open the link.

But soon after, Mishra sent another message saying he had read the allegations. "I do not remember the stated incident as I was probably a few drinks down," he said. "But nevertheless I would like to extend my apology for making the lady uncomfortable either with my words or actions."
