Director Sundar C, who is currently directing the Tamil remake of the Telugu blockbuster Attarintiki Daredi (2013), has roped in actress Catherine Tresa to play the second heroine in the film.
Attarintiki Daredi had Pawan Kalyan, Samantha and Pranitha Subhash in the lead. For the Tamil version, Sundar C has opted for Simbu to play Pawan Kalyan's role and Megha Akash to play role essayed by Samantha.
The crew was a little uncertain as to who they should cast for the role played by Pranitha Subhash in the orginal. However, sources close to the unit now confirm Catherine has been finalised.
Simbu and Sundar C have already finished shooting a portion of the film. The film's unit was in Georgia recently to shoot a song sequence. They have now returned and are busy gearing up for the next schedule which is to be shot in Hyderabad's Ramoji Film City. Giant sets are being erected for the second schedule, during which scenes involving Simbu and Catherine Tresa will be shot.
According to a source, Lyca Productions, the producers of the film, are intent on having this film released in January 2019.
