Sonam Kapoor's sangeet ceremony suffers a jolt as Farah Khan 'breaks a leg'

Sonam Kapoor is all set to enter into wedlock on 8 May, and the industry is out in support of the new bride-to-be. Filmmaker and choreographer Farah Khan was overjoyed when the actress requested her to choreograph the sangeet ceremony. However, Kapoor's big sangeet has received a minor setback after Khan fractured her leg with six days to go for the wedding.
The choreographer-filmmaker suffered an injury whilst shooting for a TV show in the wee hours of Tuesday.
Bombay Times quoted a source as saying, “Farah had committed a time for the show and for the rehearsals. So, her hours got a little extended. She was rehearsing with some contestants till late on Monday night. It was in the wee hours of Tuesday when she was walking back to her van in a tired state when she injured her leg. She was immediately taken to a doctor and it turned out to be a fracture, following which she has now been advised bed rest and medication for a week, at least,”
Hurt she may be, but Khan didn’t lose her sense of humour.
The director posted this witty tweet on her account saying, “And @RajkummarRao. Can you send me the crutches back? And the ankle brace too."
It can be recalled that last year, Rajkummar Rao had fractured his leg while appearing on Farah Khan’s show. Rao had showed up on sets in crutches, leading Farah Khan to mock his 'dedication'.
With Khan out of action, Kapoor may have to manage on her own. According to reports from a few weeks ago, the rehearsal had already begun at Anil Kapoor’s Juhu bungalow.
Sonam Kapoor is tying the knot with UK based businessman, Anand Ahuja on 8 May 2018.
