Subhash Ghai collects Sridevi's Icon Award at Titan Reginald F Lewis Film Honors


The private event, organised in Cannes, celebrates excellence and diversity in cinema. Hollywood filmmakers Denzel Washington and Forest Whitaker were also honoured.

Actress Sridevi was posthumously honoured at the Titan Reginald F Lewis Film Honors yesterday (17 May) in Cannes.

While Sridevi's husband, Boney Kapoor, and daughters, Janhvi and Khushi, couldn't attend the function, veteran filmmaker Subhash Ghai collected the honour on behalf of the family.

"It was honour to receive Award on behalf of legend @SrideviBKapoor at @Festival_Cannes yesterday for her outstanding contribution in indian cinema n shared my experience with impeccable inimitable actor to western audience hosted by Titan Reginald F. Lewis film honours," Ghai wrote on Twitter.

The Titan Reginald F Lewis Film Honours is a private event organised in Cannes and celebrates excellence and diversity in cinema. Hollywood filmmakers Denzel Washington and Forest Whitaker were also awarded at the event.

Sridevi passed away on 24 February after she accidentally drowned in her hotel room in Dubai.
