Meghna Gulzar's Raazi, starring Alia Bhatt and Vicky Kaushal, had an impressive first day at the box office yesterday (11 May). The film earned Rs7.50 crore on Friday in India, as per figures shared by boxofficeindia.com.
Raazi has become the fifth highest opener of 2018. But more importantly, it is the fourth highest opener for female-centric Hindi films in India. As per trade sources, Raazi is made at a budget of Rs40 crore. Given its performance on the first day, the film has a good chance of making profits soon. However, to reach there, the spy thriller will need to improve its box office performance during the weekend.
