If sources are to be believed, Rajinikanth is to head to Himalayas for a spiritual sojourn. He will visit the Dunagiri area to meditate in the caves where Mahavatar Babaji, an ancient yogi is said to have lived.
The actor has been busy appointing office bearers in various districts for Rajini Makkal Mandram and has completed shooting two of his upcoming projects — Kaala and 2.0. He has also announced his next project, to be directed by Karthik Subbaraj.
But before moving onto new beginnings Rajinikanth is planning to take a break to rejuvenate himself.
"Rajini will fly to Shimla in Himachal Pradesh and from there will proceed to the Himalayas. He is expected to meet his spiritual gurus. The actor is to visit a number of places including Rishikesh and Dharamshala," a source said.
The actor is known to be fascinated by the Himalayas and believes in spiritualism. In fact, while announcing his venture into politics, Rajinikanth had said he will follow 'spiritual politics'.
It may be recalled that the actor, along with his friends, had built a space to meditate on the foothills of the Himalayas. The structure was built to mark 100 years of the Yogoda Satsanga Society of India (YSS).
