Janhvi Kapoor resumed shooting for her debut film Dhadak in Mumbai yesterday (8 March). The 21-year-old lost her mother, veteran actress Sridevi, on 24 February. But the monumental loss is not deterring her from fulfilling her professional commitments.

The budding actress was seen in a sari on the sets of the film in Bandra. A few pictures were shared by Janhvi’s fan page on Instagram.

Dhadak is the official Hindi remake of Nagraj Popatrao Manjule’s Marathi blockbuster Sairat (2016) where Janhavi will be seen opposite Ishaan Khatter, who is also making his Hindi film debut. Going by her attire, it seems the team is currently shooting the latter portion of the story when the lead couple elope and marry.

As per a report in Indian Express, a daily, the team of Dhadak will soon travel to Kolkata to shoot some portions of the film. They have already shot the film in parts of Rajasthan.

Directed by Shashank Khaitan, Dhadak is produced under Karan Johar’s banner Dharma Productions.

Janhvi wrote a long, heartfelt note on Saturday (3 March) mourning her loss and asking people to respect her parent's relationship. She was widely applauded for her spirit and strength. Jahnvi celebrated her 21st birthday earlier this week in an orphanage.
