Actor Salman Khan's 2015 blockbuster Bajrangi Bhaijaan was released in China on 2 March. The film has grossed $8.51 million (approximately Rs55 crore) in its opening weekend, as reported by entgroup.cn.

The numbers may not seem great when compared to the business of Dangal (2016) and Secret Superstar (2017), but the Salman film got a limited release. Bajrangi Bhaijaan has got 21,878 shows, while Dangal had got over 30,000 shows. Secret Superstar had got 60,000 shows in China.

Aamir Khan's Dangal had grossed over Rs80 crore in its opening weekend, while Secret Superstar had grossed over Rs170 crore in its opening weekend.

As reported by BoxofficeIndia.com, Salman's Bajrangi Bhaijaan has got a better opening than Aamir's PK (2014) which had grossed $5.06 million (approximately Rs32 crore). PK, though, had only got a round 17,000 shows in China.

Given the limited shows Bajrangi Bhaijaan has got vis-a-vis Dangal and Secret Superstar, Bajrangi Bhaijaan received a fairly good opening in China. The Indian film took the fifth spot on the China box office.

Bajrangi Bhaijaan was a blockbuster in India and had made over Rs315 crore nett here.
