Having overcome his health issues, Kapil Sharma is set to return to television with a new show, Family Time with Kapil Sharma.
However, even before the show is aired, the actor is back to courting controversies. According to some news reports, the shoot of an episode with the Baaghi 2 cast was cancelled.
However, according to the channel, Sharma is not to be blamed this time as the shoot was rescheduled due to technical reasons.
“There has been a technical issue on the sets which cannot be resolved immediately. Hence, Monday’s (19 March) shoot had to be rescheduled. The press conference is also been rescheduled. We will update you on the revised dates. We apologise for any inconvenience caused," the channel said in a statement. The statement does not mention inviting Baaghi 2 team for the show.
In fact, a channel spokesperson told Cinestaan.com that the Baaghi 2 team was never supposed to come on the show. “I don’t know where this rumour of Baaghi 2 team coming on the show surfaced from? They were never scheduled to come on the show. Also, some media wrongly reported that the first episode is to have Ajay Devgn as guest. There is no celebrity in the first episode."
Cinestaan.com also contacted the publicists of Baaghi 2 but they claim they do not handle their client's TV commitments. A reliable source, closely associated with Baaghi 2, though informs, “I think the actors had a pretty full schedule this week. The Baaghi team couldn’t manage to bide time for Kapil Sharma’s show.”
Sharma was lately in the news for a Twitter feud with friend-turned-foe Sunil Grover.
Family Time with Kapil Sharma premieres on 25 March at 8pm on Sony TV, while Baaghi 2 will be released on 30 March.
