Actor Aamir Khan, who was last seen endorsing the Nayi Soch campaign of TV channel Star Plus (which aired his TV show Satyamev Jayate), has returned to the ad circuit with a mobile brand. The brand is the title sponsor of the Indian Premier League and was endorsed by Ranveer Singh earlier.

“Vivo as a brand embodies the spirit of innovation and meaningful disruption. Over the years, the brand has been constantly pushing the boundaries of smartphone technology as we know it today to provide consumers with an enhanced mobility experience. I am enthused to be a part of Vivo’s transformative journey in India,” Khan said in a statement.

The mobile brand has signed Khan at an ideal time with the new season of Indian Premier League set to commence from 7 April.

Like his films, Khan has been particular in choosing the brands that he endorses too. In 2015, Khan had signed for a major online market giant, Snapdeal. The actor was dropped as the brand ambassador after he courted controversy for his views on ‘intolerance’.

Khan has had a great last few years with his film Dangal (2016) smashing Hindi cinema domestic records and grossing over Rs1,200 crore in China. Secret Superstar (2017), too, made over Rs600 crore in China.
