Actress Aishwarya Rai Bachchan is on the cover of Femina magazine’s March issue which celebrates ‘India’s Most Beautiful’. The former Miss World has now been in the film industry for two decades — her first film was Mani Ratnam’s Iruvar (1997) that released on 14 January.

The actress was an architecture student who became a model and gained popularity with a ubiquitous Pepsi ad. Then came the 1994 Miss World paegent where she became an international star. Film was the natural next step.

In the March issue, Rai Bachchan gave an interview where she discussed her life, pre-fame, and later, her career and marriage to Abhishek Bachchan, who she calls 'AB'.

Actress Rekha wrote a special letter for the issue congratulating Rai Bachchan and wishing her on her incredible success and career. The letter seems to be borrowed from several inspirational quotes from different authors.

The veteran actress wrote how proud she is “of that little 'cool' moon-faced girl who took my breath away the very instant I first laid my eyes on her.” But concluded saying the role of mother suits Rai Bachchan the best, “You always gave better than the best to all the roles you were bestowed with but my most cherished character of yours is the role of the complete ‘Amma’ that you are, to the little bundle of pure joy called Aaradhya.”

She signed the letter as ‘Rekha Maa’.

Rai Bachchan will be next be seen on the big screen with Fanne Khan (2018), with Anil Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao, which is due to be released on 13 June 2018.
