On the other hand, Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety earned well on its fourth Friday, bagging Rs1.10 crore.

Raid, starring Ajay Devgn and Ileana D’Cruz, managed to open with a decent number on its first day (16 March). The Raj Kumar Gupta directorial has made Rs9.75 crore on its first day, as per figures shared by boxofficeIndia.com.
The earning matched up well to the list of Devgn’s highest first day numbers. Barring Singham Returns (2014) and Golmaal Again (2017), which have earned in excess of Rs30 crore on their first day itself, rest of his films have fared in the range of Rs9.50 to Rs11 crore.
It should be noted that Singham Returns and Golmaal Again were hardcore commercial entertainers expected to earn big in the first weekend. On the other hand, performance of subdued and content oriented film like Raid is expected to grow at the box office with word-of-mouth.
Given the big production budget, it is important that the film gets a good jump today (Saturday, 17 March) and tomorrow (Sunday, 18 March) and continues to hold its position in the coming week. As per trade sources, the film is made at a cost of Rs70 crore (including prints and advertising).
On the other hand, Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety earned well even on its fourth Friday, earning Rs1.10 crore. The film is inching towards the Rs90 crore mark as its total now stands at Rs89.30 crore.
