Hrishikesh Joshi's Cycle to be released on 4 May


According to the makers of the film, Cycle is a heart-warming account of the protagonist Keshav who has an intense love affair with his cycle.

Viacom 18, the producers of the Marathi movie Cycle, have announced that the film will be released on 4 May. Directed by Prakash Kunte, the film is a slice-of-life saga starring Hrishikesh Joshi, Priyadarshan Jadhav and Bhalchandra Kadam.

“Cycle takes you back in the post-Independence era of India, to a small Konkan village. The film is a heart-warming account of the protagonist Keshav who has an intense love affair with his cycle. The cycle gets stolen by two on the lookout for a new adventure. Will Keshav ever find his cycle back? What does the cycle have in,” read a statement from the makers of film.

Kunte’s last film Hampi (2017) was also produced by Viacom18 Motion Pictures. Speaking about the film the director said, “Cycle is an emotional and engaging story that touches the myriad of emotions and will reach out to the audiences in a very special way. The film will only make you realise that sometimes happiness lies in the smallest of things and it is important to celebrate them. I am happy to be collaborating with Happy Minds Entertainment and Viacom18 Motion Pictures for film.”

In the past, Kunte has helmed films like Coffee Aani Barach Kahi (2015) and & Jara Hatke (2016).
