A complaint against actress Hansika has been lodged with the South Indian Artistes Association (SIAA), better known as the Nadigar Sangam.

Sources in the industry say that an individual, identified as Munnuswamy from Valasaravakkam, has lodged a complaint with the actors' body alleging that the actress has cheated him of his commission.

In his complaint, Munnuswamy says that last August he got to know that the unit of a film, which was being produced by Kalaipuli S Thanu and directed by Dinesh Selvaraj, was on the lookout for a heroine.

Munnuswamy says he contacted both the producer and the director of the film, which has Vikram Prabhu playing the male lead, and asked them if whether he could find them the right person to play the female lead. They too agreed, he says.

After this assurance, Munnuswamy says that he spoke to several artistes who would fit the bill. He claims he finally spoke to Hansika's mother, who is believed to have told him to finalise the deal himself as Hansika did not have a manager.

Munnuswamy says that Hansika's mother, on 30 December last year, promised him a commission if he could get the actress the film.

The man claims that he finalised the deal the very next day. A couple of days later, that is on 2 January, when he called Hansika's mother for his commission, she is believed to have told him that the deal was finalised by another person called Satish and therefore she would not be able to give him the commission as promised.

Munnuswamy claims that when he spoke to the producer, he was told that they had signed her for a sum of Rs30 lakh and that she had taken a sum of Rs20 lakh as advance. He was advised to talk to them directly.

The person, who has alleged that he has been cheated of his commission, claims that he has recordings of all the conversations he has had with Hansika's mother. In his complaint, he has urged the SIAA to take suitable action, keeping in mind his family's poor status.
