The first song from Aniket Chattopadhyay’s upcoming thriller Kabir is out and is already creating ripples on the Internet. The song ‘Tere Dargha Pe’, sung by Ishan Mitra, Kishan Berua and composer Indradeep Dasgupta features lead actors of the film, Dev Adhikari and Rukmini Maitra.

Launched by Adhikari’s own music company DevMusic, the song has had close to 1 lakh views in two days. Shataf Figar, who plays an important role in the film, and is the music composer himself also makes an appearance with the lead actors in the song.

The song has been garnering appreciation for its unique fusion with a qawwali. Dasgupta plays the role of the lead qawwali vocalist in it.

“The song 'Tere Dargha Pe' has been sung by Ishan, Krishna and Me. I have lip-synced in the qawwali part of it and it was not easy. The song comes at a crucial part in the film,” Dasgupta told Calcutta Times.

The song has been shot in different locations of Mumbai and Kolkata. In the song it seems that Kabir (Adhikari) is getting acquainted with Yasmin (Rukmini Maitra). Yasmin, on the other hand, appears to be praying in different darghas before embarking on a journey.

At the end of the song, the sequence in a train in which Kabir flashes his gun at Yasmin, is intriguing.

Talking about his appearance on the screen, composer Dasgupta said, “I have acted in Byomkesh and now in this song. I don’t enjoy acting, I find it quite difficult.”

Tollywood superstar Prasenjit Chatterjee praised the song in a tweet, saying “Loved the song and Indradeep, you look great! But the visuals are too good, all the best team!”
