The long-awaited Dabangg 3 will finally get kickstarted. Buzz has it that Salman Khan will begin shooting for Dabangg 3 once he wraps up shooting for Race 3. Dabangg 3 is likely to compete with Ranveer Singh's Simmba, as it may be released on Salman's birthday on 27 December, a day before Simmba is released.

Trade analyst Atul Mohan said, "It has been planned to release Dabangg 3 in December. Salman Khan will begin shooting for Dabangg 3 once he wraps up Race 3. As of today, it looks increasingly likely that Dabangg 3 will compete with Simmba. Sonakshi Sinha, too, has been confirmed for the project."

As reported earlier, Prabhu Deva will be directing the third film.

"I was in Mumbai last week to finalise all the details. Yes, I am directing Dabangg 3 for Salman and Arbaaz Khan. Who says no to them?” Prabhu Deva had told entertainment website, BollywoodHungama.com.

Apart from Salman and Sinha, buzz has it that TV actress Mouni Roy is also part of Dabangg 3. "Sonakshi Sinha is confirmed, but there will also be Mouni Roy, and I'm even hearing the name of Amy Jackson. The name of Sunny Leone is also being discussed for an item number," said a source.

Prabhu Deva has directed Salman before in Wanted (2009). The first Dabangg film, directed by Abhinnav Kashyap, had released in 2010, while Arbaaz Khan directed the second film in 2012.
