Friendships that slowly evolve into romances seem to be the trend of the month. Aleya Sen's Dil Juunglee revolves around another sweet story of two friends who turn lovers. Played by Saqib Saleem and Taapsee Pannu, the trailer and songs of the film contain elements of a lovable sweet romance. This trend continues with 'Dil Jaane Na'.
Sung by Mohit Chauhan and Neeti Mohan, the song is a sweet, romantic ballad that has the right energy going for it. The visuals are pleasant and depict the arc of the story between Saleem and Pannu's characters. The two appear to be dating different people, but enjoy each other's company just as much. It is this chemistry that leads them to realise that maybe there is more to them than they show.
Composed by Abhishek Arora, 'Dil Jaane Na' has a catchy beat. However, it lacks novelty. Chauhan's vocals have energy and range, but seems to be hogging the entire song. Mohan's presence is almost an afterthought. The lyrics by Abhiruchi Chand flow into the rhythm of the track with ease.
Regardless, the song is catchy enough to leave an aftertaste.
Dil Juunglee is scheduled to be released on 9 March.
