Rohit Shetty is spending a lot on Ranveer Singh

The extravagant filmmaker begins shooting a Simmba (2018) song on a grand scale.

Ranveer Singh has never been so excited working for any filmmaker as with Rohit Shetty. That excitement was visible on his face when he first spoke about Simmba during the success interviews of Padmaavat (2018) earlier this year.

Before the film went on the floors, Ranveer Singh had posted a quirky video. Now, as the team is about to shoot a song, the star has posted another video where he cannot hide his excitement.

The Simmba team is already calling it the ‘Sabse Bada Gaana’, or biggest song ever. We don’t know yet how big it will actually be, but Ranveer Singh’s video suggests the song will have hundreds of people in it.

“See, the biggest song of my life is being shot. There are so many people that you will feel dizzy. Basically, Boss has not held back this time. Ranveer Singh and Rohit Shetty for the first time, yeah!" says the actor in the video.

Director Shetty then wraps his arms around Ranveer Singh and quips, “I am spending a lot on you.”

Choreographer Ganesh Acharya joins the duo screaming, “Ala re ala, Simmba ala.” We presume that is the title of the song. Watch the video below.

A few days ago, reports were doing the rounds that Simmba would feature a remake of the song 'Aankh Maare' from Tere Mere Sapne (1996). However, looking at Ranveer Singh’s video, it appears unlikely that the song being shot currently is that one.

Simmba is the official remake of Telugu blockbuster Temper (2015). The film is planned for release on 28 December.
