Dry Day trailer: Looks like a juvenile love story

The trailer of the film, starring Rutwikk Kendre and Monalisa Bagal, is far from impressive.

After the super success of Sairat (2015), there have been a series of romantic sagas based in villages that explore the same theme. However, director Pandurang Jadhav’s Dry Day is different as it is based in an urban setting and deals with the youth.

The trailer of the film is far from impressive.

Going by the promo, Dry Day tells the story of two youngsters Ajay (Rutwikk Kendre) and Pallavi (Monalisa Bagal). They fall in love and later break up due to a misunderstanding. Ajay’s friends console him by having drinks together. The day of the break up is a dry day. But despite that, his friends manage to find drinks. This is the only relevance of the title, at least in the trailer.

The events shown appear unconvincing and juvenile, to say the least. The song ‘Daaru Ding Dang’ makes it worse. Kendre, who is a debutant, and Bagal’s performances too don’t seem up to the mark. The viewers will notice the absence of a proper flow.

Dry Day will be release on 13 July.
