There are many things actor Ranveer Singh can be faulted for, but courage is not one of them. The actor has always been a delight for shutterbugs with his wacky expressions and even wackier outfits. However, for fans wondering if these strange fashion tastes are a product of Singh's recent stardom, his latest Instagram post should come as a revelation. The actor put up a picture of himself as a kid with a mohawk, proving that he always had a radical sense of fashion within him.

Avant Garde Since 1985

Tagging the photo as 'Avant Garde since 1985', Singh seemed to point out that his extreme sense of fashion is not a new addition to his personality. The actor's picture certainly caught the attention of his industry mates.

Actress and girlfriend Deepika Padukone was the first to react, and she certainly was not pleased with the look. The actress commented with a long 'Nooooo' followed by three monkey emojis on the picture.

It was Anil Kapoor who proved the more encouraging by saying, 'I told you at that party when I first saw this look, and I'll tell you now... You will go far and roar, Tiger. The roaring has just begun! #DaringSince1985" The actor played Singh's father in Dil Dhadakne Do (2015)

While his other Dil Dhadakne Do co-star Priyanka Chopra just shrugged saying, "Of course you had a mohawk." The comment earned a reply from Singh saying, "hahaha!!! Aff COURSE !!! Ab aap samjheen…!! Hamari bimari paidaishi hai madam!!! Hey welcome back to the homeland by the way – long time no desi"

The guy gang around Singh certainly jumped on the opportunity to rib him. While Ayushmann Khurrana compared his look to Gulshan Grover from Vishwatma (1992), Arjun Kapoor compared it to the iconic Mr T from Rocky III (1982). Even cricketer Shikhar Dhawan got in on the jokes by imagining how much of a tyrant Singh might have been in his childhood.

Regardless of the opinions, it does not look like it will deter Singh from following his own fashion in the future.
