Box office: Race 3 has a big fall in second weekend, earns Rs16.25 crore


Meanwhile, Shashanka Ghosh’s Veere Di Wedding has finished its fourth weekend with Rs1.25 crore. The film's total now stands at Rs78.58 crore.

The box office earnings of director Remo D’Souza’s Race 3 has been only spiralling downwards after its first week. The film managed to earn only Rs16.25 crore in its second weekend, as per figures shared by Boxofficeindia.com.

The film, starring Salman Khan, Anil Kapoor, Bobby Deol, Jacqueline Fernandez, Daisy Shah and Saqib Saleem, made Rs138.69 crore in the first week. Interestingly, out of is, Rs100.94 crore were earned in the first three days itself. The film has been largely panned by critics.

Every film's performance is expected to dip in the second week. But Race 3's earnings has spiralled down 84% from its first week.

The total earnings of the film currently stands at Rs155.22 crore. The estimated budget of the project is pegged at Rs80-90 crore.

The numbers are expected to further sink during this week. Come Friday (29 June), Rajkumar Hirani’s keenly awaited biopic, titled Sanju, will hit the screens. The film, starring Ranbir Kapoor, will have a wide release.
