Actress and reality show host Sunny Leone was hospitalised on Thursday (21 June) night after she complained of severe stomachache. She was shooting for the 11th season of her television show Splitsvilla in Ramnagar, Nainital district in Uttarakhand.

Dr Mayank Aggarwal, who is supervising her at the Brijesh Hospital Kashipur in Udham Singh Nagar district, informed Hindustan Times, a daily, that Leone was suffering from gastroenteritis. “We are giving her the best care possible and she is under medication and treatment,” he told the publication.

The doctor added that Leone’s condition is better now. “Sunny had come to the hospital with intense pain in the stomach and mild fever and she is now fine and the pain has subsided after medication,” said Aggarwal. He also added that travelling in the heat must have caused the infection. The actress may be discharged on Saturday (23 June).

On the work front, the actress has been mostly concentrating on the television show. As far as films are concerned, her last film, Tera Intezaar (2017), released last year and didn't work at the box office. She will make her debut in Tamil cinema with VC Vadivudayan's Veermahadevi, that is scheduled to be released this year.
