The teaser of Navaniat Singh's sequel revolves around the quirky antics of the wild Punjabi trio of Dharmendra, Sunny and Bobby Deol.

The madcap craziness of Yamla Pagla Deewana (2011) saw the three Deols (Dharmendra, Sunny and Bobby) come together to create some very Punjabi comedy. The third instalment in the franchise, Yamla Pagla Deewana Phir Se, directed by Navaniat Singh, seeks to repeat that very effort. The teaser for the film captures the very Punjabi quirks of the three he-men, with the addition of one more, actor-producer Salman Khan.

Narrated by Khan himself, the teaser begins with the sight of Dharmendra playing the flirtatious playboy for whom age is just a number. While Sunny plays the good-hearted ayurvedic doctor with the 2.5 kilo arms, Bobby plays the young romeo who hates his name. One snippet has him reprise Dharmendra's famous scene from Sholay (1975), complainig about his name, Kaala. Whether it has a reference to the recent Rajinikanth film is not clear.

While the first film from the franchise was set in Punjab, the third one seems to touch upon the Gujarati element, with a hilarious snippet of the three red-blooded Punjabis trying to speak Gujarati.

The teaser does make the usual stereotypical statements of a Punjabi character (strong, good-hearted, flirtatious and booze loving), which seem a little dated, but the genial nature of the trio makes it seem a little interesting.

But the big Easter egg in the film is Khan's appearance. The actor makes a surprise entry towards the end of the teaser, introducing himself as 'Mastana' to join the Yamla Pagla Deewana gang.

Khan will not be the only new face in the film. Sonakshi and Shatrughan Sinha are also expected to appear in a song in the film.

Yamla Pagla Deewana Phir Se is set to be released on 15 August.
