Actor Sanjay Dutt says survivors of acid attacks are real-life heroes and an inspiration to all.
Dutt visited Sheroes Hangout Cafe in Lucknow today after receiving an invitation through Twitter from the team.
Overwhelmed by the invitation, Dutt made sure to spend some quality time with the acid-attack survivors who run the café.
"They are real-life heroes and these strong women are an inspiration to all of us," Dutt said in a statement to the IANS news agency. "They have shown unwavering strength to fight and survive in the most difficult situations.
"It is truly an honour to be receiving the love and support of such beautiful souls," said the actor whose own life journey is the subject of the upcoming biopic Sanju starring Ranbir Kapoor.
Dutt is in Lucknow to shoot for the Hindi remake of the Telugu cult classic Prasthaanam. Produced by Sanjay Dutt Productions, the film is being made in Hindi by Deva Katta, who also helmed the original.
The shooting began on 1 June, the birth anniversary of Dutt's mother, the legendary actress Nargis. The film also stars Satyajeet Dubey, Ali Fazal, Manisha Koirala and Amyra Dastur.
