Actress Mouni Roy bagged a big project in Ayan Mukerji's Brahmastra, starring Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt, much before her debut film, Gold, hit the screens. She has now signed her third film — Robbie Grewal's RAW: Romeo Akbar Walter, starring John Abraham.

Roy anounced the development in an interview with Mumbai Mirror, a tabloid. “I’ve given auditions in the past but this film just happened. I went for a meeting and the team instantly felt I suited the character as I have an old-world vibe. They offered me the role and I immediately said ‘yes’. I wasn’t happy with the other offers I got around the time but I am excited about this film,” she said.

The actress is happy to have worked with artistes likes Akshay Kumar, Kapoor and Bhatt and looks forward to share the screen with John. “I love John sir’s work. He has an intimidating personality but everyone says wonderful things about him. These days, I’m kind of numb. After facing the camera with Akshay sir, I’ve worked with Ranbir and Alia but am yet to shoot with Bachchan sir [for Brahmastra]. When I do, I will be so nervous I’ll probably hide in a corner,” she added.

Roy is currently shooting for Brahmastra in Mumbai’s Mehboob Studios. She shared a picture with director Mukerji from the sets on her official Instagram page.

The actress came into the limelight with her performance in the television series Naagin.

RAW will be a comeback film for Grewal. His last film Aloo Chaat had released in 2009. He has also made films like Samay: When Time Strikes (2003) and MP3: Mera Pehla Pehla Pyaar (2009).
