Jyotika Sadana, who plays the lead in director Radha Mohan's Kaatrin Mozhi, has completed shooting for the film in just one schedule.

The actress recently celebrated her last day of shoot by gifting saris and veshtis (traditional mens wear) to all the members of the film's unit. She is also believed to have presented a special gift to all the assistant directors of the film.

"Jyotika, who began shooting for the film on June 4, has been at it without a break. She completed her portions on July 25. In other words, Jyothika has completed the entire film in a single schedule," said a source close to the film.

Kaatrin Mozhi is a Tamil remake of the super hit Hindi film Tumhari Sulu (2017). The Hindi version had National Award winning actress Vidya Balan in the lead.

"Writer-director Radha Mohan, with whom Jyotika gave the super hit, Mozhi (2007), a decade ago, has slightly tweaked the story of Kaatrin Mozhi to suit South Indian sensibilities. The film is a romantic comedy starring Jyotika, Vidaarth, Lakshmi Manchu, Kumaravel, MS Bhaskar, Manobala, Uma Padmanabhan, Mohan Raman and many others. During the cake cutting event on 25 July, Jyotika mentioned that this was the best team she had worked with in her career and thanked everyone for the tremendous work. Both the Director Radha Mohan and producer G Dhananjayan thanked her for her involvement and support in wrapping up her portions of the film in a single schedule," the source added.

The film has a few more days of shoot left with other artistes. The team hopes to complete this in the next few days.

Kaatrin Mozhi, shot on different locations in Chennai, was edited online on the spot. Therefore, the edited film is ready for dubbing, which is scheduled to commence on 6 August. The team is looking to complete the post-production work and get it censored by the Central Board of Film Certification by mid-September.

The film is expected to be released in October this year.
