Mard Ko Dard Hoga [Men will feel the pain]. Four mysterious words headline actress Shraddha Kapoor's social media pages. The actress has deleted her profile photographs across her social media platforms and her Instagram page only feature three posts.
While many might be wondering what exactly has gotten into Kapoor or that her account might have been hacked, signs seem to point towards a marketing strategy for her upcoming film, Stree. She stars in the horror comedy with actor Rajkummar Rao.
This May, American actress Blake Lively mysteriously deleted her Instagram posts, removed her profile photograph and unfollowed many people, including her own husband, actor Ryan Reynolds. She only followed 36 women on Instagram named Emily Nelson.

It turned out the action was a publicity stunt for Lively's upcoming film, A Simple Favor (2018), directed by Paul Feig. In the thriller, Lively plays a woman called Emily who mysteriously disappears one day. It is up to her friend Stephanie (Anna Kendrick) to figure out what happened to her.
The supernatural film, Stree, is supposedly based on a true phenomenon where a female spirit is said to terrorize the small town of Chanderi. Directed by Amar Kaushik, the film is due to be released on 31 August. The trailer will be out this Thursday, 26 July.
