Ranbir Kapoor is beginning to face a problem that several houseowners might be familiar with it. The actor is being sued by his tenant in Pune for failing to honour the rental agreement.

The actor owns an apartment in Trump Towers in Pune's Kalyani Nagar, which he had let out for rent.

According to a report in Pune Mirror, a tabloid, Sheetal Suryawanshi, the tenant has filed a suit in the Pune civil court seeking damages worth Rs50.40 lakh after being asked to move out before the completion of the lock-in period. Suryawanshi was asked to move out of the apartment in August 2017, 11 months after she moved into the apartment. She claims that the 'lock in agreement' was set at 24 months.

"In said notice (email), it was falsely informed by the defendant (Kapoor) that he wants to shift into the said premises, and for this reason, plaintiff (Suryawanshi) was asked to vacate the premises in contravention of the terms and conditions of the leave and license agreement," read the suit.

The actor, according to the report, has denied any allegations, and has filed a counter suit in the court. The case is set to come up for hearing on 28 August.
