Choreographer-actor-producer-director Prabhu Deva's next Tamil with director AC Mugil film now has a title — Pon Manickavel. For the first time Prabhu Deva will be seen playing a cop.

The first look of the film is likely to be released later tonight.

Interesingly, the title of the film happens to be the name of a police officer who helped find and bring back two ancient idols that were stolen from India and smuggled to Australia.

Sources close to the unit of the film say that the film will star Nivetha Pethuraj opposite Prabhu Deva. It will also feature Bijesh Nagesh, the grandson of the veteran comedian Nagesh, and filmmaker Mahendran in important roles.

The music of the film will be scored by D Imman, lyrics will be penned by Madhan Karky and KG Venkatesh will handle the cinematography. The film is being produced by Hitesh Jhabak.

The film's tagline reads, 'Idhanai idhanaal ivan mudikkum endraindhu adhanai avankann vidal', which can be roughly translated as finding the most appropriate man for the task and assigning him the job.

The film is most likely based on Manickavel's mission of finding the ancient idols.

In Hindi cinema, Prabhu Deva will helm Dabangg 3 that features Salman Khan.
