'Thak Pase Priyotoma' song from Mainak Bhaumik and Boys’ upcoming film Happy Pill has been released online. Composed by Savvy Gupta, the song is a perfect tune to hum for the school and college goers.
It is nice to hear Anupam Roy’s voice in a smart and upbeat song that goes perfectly well with the gist of the film. Though the tune is not entirely original, the visuals and Dipangshu Acharya’s lyrics turn it into an optimistic theme song.
Before the song begins, Siddhartha (Ritwick Chakraborty) or the creator of Happy Pill expresses his wish to his friend (Mir Afsar Ali) to circulate his medicine for happiness among people. Next, the song starts and it goes on showing random people smiling and enjoying moments of pure bliss with the container of Happy Pill in their hands.
Acharya’s lyrics narrate the saga of despair that is abundant in modern lifestyle. The nostalgia surrounding the imageries of lost mystery of fireflies at dark nights and the suffocation of spring time amidst pollution refers to the sad stories in the plot without turning the song into a grim one. As the words speak of fantasies coming into reality against all the unfulfilled desires of life, 'Thak Pase Priyotoma' rather turns into a fresh and cheery track.
In this song Priyotoma is associated with the idea of love which is the core ingredient of Happy Pill or the innate happiness in human beings. Keeping with the lyrics, the visuals show the rise and fall in the lives of all the characters, including journalist Indrani (Sohini Sarkar) and Rini (Parno Mitra).
Happy Pill is scheduled to hit the screens on 27 July.
