Actress Anushka Sharma has an exciting second half of 2018 lined up with Yash Raj Films’ Sui Dhaaga: Made In India (2018) and Aanand L Rai’s Zero (2018). Besides these two intriguing films where she’s paired with actor Varun Dhawan for the first time and reunites with Shah Rukh Khan and Katrina Kaif for the latter, the actress will also be making a debut of a different kind.

Sharma becomes the latest Indian celebrity to get a wax statue by the world famous wax museum, Madame Tussauds. She will join other Indian film personalities like Amitabh Bachchan, Shah Rukh Khan, Madhuri Dixit, Hrithik Roshan and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan at Madame Tussauds in Singapore.

However, the actress’s wax statue will be slightly different than the others. She will be a part of a special interactive section which allows her to ‘talk’ to visitors through a phone and greet them warmly. The wax museum has many international outlets from London to Las Vegas and international celebrities like Oprah Winfrey, Cristiano Ronaldo and Lewis Hamilton have had interactive wax statues of themselves.

Sharma will be the first Indian celebrity to have an interactive wax statue. Sharma’s husband, cricket player Virat Kohli, has his own wax statue on display at Madame Tussauds Delhi.

This year, Kajol travelled to Singapore to pose with her ‘doppelgänger’, while Sharma’s Sui Dhaaga co-star Varun Dhawan unveiled his wax statue at Madame Tussauds Hong Kong. Indian filmmaker Karan Johar is also supposed to unveil his own statue later this year.

Incidentally, the actress will complete a decade in the industry this December. She made her film debut with Shah Rukh Khan in Aditya Chopra’s Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi (2008).
