The first poster of Satish Rajwade's Aapla Manus, with Nana Patekar in the lead, created quite a buzz around the film. Though the image of the veteran actor riding a bike didn’t reveal anything about the plot, the teaser helped gain an idea on the characters.

The trailer of Aapla Manus, that was recently released, is just an extended version of the teaser.

The film revolves around the suicide of an elderly man. Maruti Nagargoje (Patekar), senior inspector in Crime Branch, takes over the case and questions the victim’s son (Sumeet Raghvan) and his wife (Iravati Harshe). He concludes that the couple is to be blamed for the suicide. While he is investigating and questioning them to prove their crime, he disturbs the couple's daily life. Now, how the couple tries to get out of the mess seems to be the rest of the story.

Going by the trailer, the film appears to be a crime thriller with heavy doses of wit and sarcasm, mostly coming from Patekar. The joke on calling Baba Ramdev for help seems to be one of the many such moments. One can just hope the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) doesn't make objections to the use of names in the jokes.

Patekar appears ideal for the role of a determined cop. However, he seems to be low on energy, at least in the trailer.

Aapla Manus is all set to be released on 9 February.
