Work on AR Murugadoss's next Tamil film, which features actor Vijay and actress Keerthy Suresh in the lead, got off to a great start with a pooja function at Panaiyoor.

Vijay inaugurated the project by clapping the clap board for the first shot.

The film is being produced by Sun Pictures's Kalanithi Maran, who has already given enough hints to suggest that this will be a big budget film. It may be recalled that it was Sun Pictures which produced Endhiran (2010), which, at the point of being made, was the costliest film in India.

However, it isn't exactly clear as to how much money the producers will invest in this project at this point in time.

The film has music by AR Rahman. Girish Gangatharan is the cinematographer of the film and Sreekar Prasad is the editor of the project, which is expected to hit screens for Diwali this year.
