Move over Aamir Khan, Ranveer Singh's transformation from Khilji to Gully Boy will stun you

The actor put up a picture on his Twitter account marking the drastic physical transformation for the two roles.

Aamir Khan is not the only one who can bulk up and lose weight at will for a role. It seems Ranveer Singh has joined the band.

The actor's recent appearances were a marked change from his bearded, long-haired look of Alauddin Khilji from Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Padmaavat. But a lot more has changed than just the haircut. The actor has shed the muscle, and bulk that he built up to play the ferocious warrior king.

Singh's latest tweet shows the difference in his look in the two films. The actor posted a collage of two pictures, one has him training to be Padmaavat's Khilji and the other shows him ready for his role in Zoya Akhtar's Gully Boy.

While the Singh on the left looks like he could rip a man in half with his bare hands, the one on the right is sleek with the physique of a runner. The actor plays a street rapper in Zoya Akhtar's upcoming film.

This is not the first time the actor has changed his physical appearance so drastically for a film. Earlier, during the filming of Padmaavat, Singh's trainer, Lloyd Stevens, had posted a picture of his look before he turned into the uber-muscular Khilji. The transformation took place over a period of 6 weeks.

6 WEEK #transformation with my boy @ranveersingh ... Haven't posted this in a long while but every time I look at it makes me very proud and remember that @ranveersingh and I worked extremely hard to achieve this result despite his extremely busy schedule that sometimes involved us working out at very late hours of the night or very early hours of the morning ... never the less we got it done 💪🏼😎#goodtimes . . . . . #transformationtuesday #ranveersingh #ramleela #bollywood #ripped #shredded #training #trainhard #trainsmart #nutrition #eatcleantrainmean #cleaneating #gym #gymmotivation #menshealth #mensfitness #healthandfitness #abs #sixpack #instafit #muscle #bodygoals #bodybuilding #picoftheday #weightloss #fatloss #diet

But it is not all about the physique. Singh will also be recording raps in his own voice for Akhtar's film, which also stars Alia Bhatt.  The actor even put out videos of himself recording a few tracks with rappers Nitin Mishra, Shahrukh Shaikh and others on the sets of Gully Boy.

Padmaavat will be released on 25 January, while Gully Boy is expected to hit the screens later this year.
