The fourth film in the Hate Story franchise is due to be released on 9 March 2018. The announcement was made on Twitter by the film’s director, Vishal Pandya, and lead actress, Urvashi Rautela.
While the actress shared a photo of herself, the director took a more philosophical route writing, “Walk a mile to avoid a fight, But when one starts, Don’t back down an inch..” Perhaps, he is referring to the film’s storyline, but that’s just guesswork.
Produced by Vikram Bhatt, the first film, Hate Story, starring Paoli Dam, Nikhil Dwivedi and Gulshan Devaiah and directed by Vivek Agnihotri, was released in 2012. The sequel, Hate Story 2 released in 2014. The film was directed by Pandya with Sushant Singh and Surveen Chawla in the lead roles.
In 2015, Sharman Joshi, Zarine Khan, Karan Singh Grover and Daisy Shah starred in the third instalment titled Hate Story 3.
Hate Story 4 stars Urvashi Rautela, Karan Wahi, Vivan Bhatena and Ihana Dhillon. Dhilllon has previously worked in Punjabi films and will make her Hindi film debut with this film.
