The shoot of Total Dhamaal, third film in the Dhamaal series, flagged off in the presence of Aamir Khan, Anil Kapoor, Ajay Devgn, Sanjai Mishra and Madhuri Dixit. The event took Dixit on a nostalgic ride, as Aamir Khan did the honours of giving the first clap.
In the 1990s, the first shot, also known as 'mahurat shot', of the film would be a celerbrated affair with guests specially invited to grace the occasion. Those shots would be called 'mahurat shots', however, the tradition and its popularity died down. The 'mahurat shots' of Total Dhamaal took Dixit down the memory lane.
The actress shared a picture of her, Khan, Devgn, and Kapoor on her Instagram page, writing, “Felt like I jumped back to the 90s when Muhurat shots were done more often #TotalDhamaal launched today. Congratulations to #indrakumar and the team.thanks #aamirkhan.”
The film will bring Dixit and Kapoor on the big screen together after 17 years.
Director Kumar has previously worked with all the actors present at the ocassionget. Dixit Nene and Khan were seen toher in Kumar’s Dil (1990), which was one of the earliest successes for both actors. In fact, the film bailed Khan out of a series of flops. Kapoor, too, shared the big screen with the actress in Kumar’s Beta (1992). While Devgn has worked in Kumar's Ishq (1997), which also had Khan, and Masti (2004).
