Yo Yo Honey Singh, the man who gave us ‘Chaar Bottle Vodka’, seems to have finally curbed his alcohol bingeing. Now he wants you to have ‘Chhote Chhote Peg’.

The rapper and music director had unveiled the song ‘Chhote Chhote Peg’ from Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety a few weeks ago. Good as the track was, it is the new video by choreographer Deepa Iyengar that leaves you stunned.

This number is not quite a reprise, but Honey Singh has given a toxic twist to Anand Raj Anand’s 'Tote Tote Ho Gaya' song from the Bobby Deol-starrer Bichhoo (2000).

'Tote Tote Ho Gaya' has been changed to 'Chhote Chhote Peg'. The former song was penned by Sameer and composed by Anand with Hans Raj Hans and Shweta Shetty providing the voices.

The singers were also part of the video for 'Tote Tote Ho Gaya' which suffered from poor choreography as Shetty appeared to be doing PT exercises.

Fast forward to 2018 and we have the sizzling Deepa Iyengar who leaves viewers stunned with her sensuous and energetic display. Iyengar is not the choreographer for the song in the film, but she uploaded a video of herself performing to the Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety track.

A dancing singer cannot be compared with a professional choreographer and so comparisons with Shweta Shetty are futile. Similarly, Iyengar easily beats Nushrat Bharucha, the female lead from Sonu kI Titu Ki Sweety.

Given how most artistes today are not great dancers, would it not be great to have more Deepa Iyengars for such numbers? You can even watch the track on mute and just admire her hip-hop moves.

Coming back to the 'Chhote Chhote Peg' song, it would be unfair to call it a remake. Honey Singh creates catchy, quirky lines that flow with his groovy, vibrant music. He has only retained the core tune from the 'Tote Tote Ho Gaya' track.

There is no Hans Raj Hans in the new song, but his son Navraj carries on the 'Tote Tote' legacy complimenting Neha Kakkar, who is fast emerging as the voice for such dance tracks. Raunchy numbers have to be performed unabashedly. Not just the dancers, but the singers, too, need to bring that candour in their tone. Kakkar does that with consummate ease.

While Kakkar performs along expected lines, one has to admire the effort of Navraj. Unlike his father, he does not possess a powerful voice, but the man is faultless in his coordination with Yo Yo Honey Singh, who chips in with the rap vocals.

All in all, be it in the film video or Deepa Iyengar's hip-hop dance, 'Chhote Chhote Peg' is a thoroughly intoxicating and entertaining dance number.
